FAQ

Q: Are you willing to learn a new song for my ceremony?
A: Generally I will learn and perform any musical selection as long as I am provided with the sheet music.

Q: Do we need to choose all of the songs for the prelude music as guests are arriving and being seated?
A: No, generally I will choose the songs for the prelude. You will choose special selections for: Bridal Party, Bride, Unity/Sand/Rose, Recessional. I am happy to make suggestions if needed.

Q: When do you need to receive our song requests for the ceremony?
A: If you are using songs from my website you can get them to me two weeks before the ceremony. If you have any special requests that are not on my list I would need you to provide me with the sheet music at least one month prior to the ceremony.

Q: When do we pay the balance?
A: I like to receive the balance payment one week before the ceremony so that I don’t have to bother you with financial matters the day of your wedding.

Q: What do you wear?
A: Typically I wear “Concert Black”. This means formal long black dress.

Q: Do you provide your own amplification?
A: Yes, but the harp has such beautiful natural resonance it rarely needs amplifying. Outdoor weddings and vocal solos I recommend amplification which I provide.

Q: Can you provide microphones for the officiant and readers?
A: No, my system cannot handle additional inputs.

Q: Do we need to provide you with vendor meals?
A: If I perform more than two hours vendor meals are required.

Q? What will you need from us to set up?
A: Outdoor weddings require shade and a solid surface to place the harp, like a deck or side walk.

Q: Do you attend rehearsals?
A: No, I do not perform for rehearsals. I arrive early on the day of the wedding and go over any last minute details with the officiant to make sure things go smoothly.

Q: Do I need to worry about the length of each song so that it will end at just the right time?
A: No, I can adjust the length of any song on the spot and make sure songs flow seamlessly. This is the best part of working with live musicians!
